Potty time!

Mrs. Janet, Abby's in-home daycare teacher, has about four girls that are all around 2 years old. This week they are all (if they haven't already) starting the potty training process. Today, Abby actually peed in the potty -- wooo hooo!!! Only a start, I know...but hey, it works.

This picture is actually from last week on her potty that we bought her. Here's hoping that she'll catch on to the potty training thing; I'm super excited to be rid of diapers for a little bit. And I can start thinking about babies now -- I plan to do what I can to avoid having two kids in diapers....eik.

Yay! for Abby! I really hope it works. I've heard that if they do it at a daycare, where there are more kids doing it too, that it works better - here's hoping for you! We haven't had too much success with it yet. Sophie sits on the potty and occasionally pees or poos in it (she gets M&Ms when she does), but doesn't seem to recognize when she needs to pee and put together that she can sit on the potty and get candy. I haven't moved her into training pants or underwear yet though - maybe after all of our summer trips are done and we're staying home more. Good luck!

Way to go Abby. That must be very exciting to think about not having to change diapers for awhile. If you ever miss it. I'll be happy to let you change one of my baby's diapers. haha!
