Holy crap....

That's really the nicest phrase I can come up with after today's dr visit! :)

NOTE: When you have twins, the babies usually run small. When you have twins AND blood sugar problems, you generally run an even higher risk of low birth weight babies. So, apparently my blood sugars are great. :/

We started off with an ultrasound to get measurements and all that good stuff. Everything looks great and babies are doing well. Then she told me their (approximate) measurements: 8lbs, 3 oz and 7 lbs, 15 oz!!!! AAACCCKKKK!!!!

Aside from that small heart attack, everything else is pretty good. When Dr. Silver came into the exam room, he was looking at the ultrasound report. He looked at me and said, "Damn, those are some big kids in there! You're not supposed to have 90% twins!" Really?!? No dilating (of course!), blood pressure and sugars are still great. So, just TEN MORE DAYS and we'll have TWO babies. Eik!!!

Oh, and just FYI for those interested, my c-section is scheduled for 9:30am on Friday, July 31. WOOO HOOO!!!!

Ok...so here is your comfort :o) My Grandma gave birth to twins and they were both over 8 pounds and one was closer to 9!! OH...and she already had 3 others at home all under 4 or 5. (I don't remember how much older my aunt is from the others.) SO...it could be worse friend. Can't wait to see the babies :o) 10 days and counting.

You look great!!! Your twins are big babies for single babies. Kelli and I were 6 pounds and the doctors thought we were huge!! Good job mommy on being a good mommy!!!

Both of my boys were 5 lb. so the larger they are, the healthier they are!

I can't believe he's making you go another day with those sizes!!! Only a man . . .

Impressive! You are growing yourself some good size babes.

My twins were 4 weeks early and were 6lb 13oz and 6lb 5oz. The dr said if I had gone to my due date they would've been close to 8.

Wow girlie! You're superwoman! ;) It's amazing that you're not swollen like a balloon (your ankles, everything else, ya know), but you're looking great! That's a lot of baby! lol
How exciting!

Wow! I can't even imagine. Both of my kids were in the 6 lb. range so I can't imagine having two bigger than that. Good luck with everything. I hope it all goes well. We'll be in touch to see how we can help.
