Or RED! My in-laws bought us some baby stuff at Carter's yesterday and I was super excited to get some red and a really pretty bright teal color. I love the cute pastels, but I also like to put my babies in brighter colors.
Well, Baby A is a little girl. And we're preeeetttty sure (about 98%) that Baby B is also a little girl. I have another ultrasound in a month and I'll get the tech to try and check again, just to be sure. Since my nephew, Garrett, was supposed to be a girl, I'd rather know for sure. :)
We were a little bummed at first. Like most guys, Zac wants someone to 'carry on the family name' and I want a little football player. So now my girls will just have to play sports. :) But, everything looks good health-wise and that's REALLY all that matters to us. Besides, this way we don't have to buy quite as much stuff. Although right now I am kinda regretting selling so much stuff in consignment sales. :/
So we are open to girl names. We have one picked out - Camille/Camilla, and she'll go by Cami. So we need something that goes with Abby and Cami. Nothing weird, please. :)

Take a guess!
Just for fun, I thought I'd put up a poll! Let us know what YOU think our babies' genders will be. Poll closes next Friday, March 27 at 9:30 am - when I'll be in getting my ultrasound!!

A couple of pics...
Thought I'd post a couple of pictures for everybody. Abby was hollering for her paci this morning (they need to permanently disappear - I just have to make them do it) and I told her she'd have to find it if she wanted it. This is what she came back to show me....
Tuesday I decided to get a haircut. I was in dire need of one and planned to cut a few inches off. The lady did a really good job shaping it, but it is a tad shorter than I'd wanted. But I really like it, especially with summer coming. It's sooooo easy to deal with now, it hardly tangles at all!

Another giveaway...
Ok, so I get bonus entries if I blog about certain giveaways, that's mainly why I do. But this one sounds yummy to me because I've been wanting to try this cereal. Stephanie at The Coupon Game is giving away three Honey Kix gift packages. I LOVE regular Kix and have been wanting to try this version. Check out her blog for giveaway details!

Boy(s) or Girl(s)???
Well, we didn't find out this week....but we have an ultrasound date! Friday, March 27 we will (hopefully!) find out the genders of the babies. (Kendyl's birthday and the Elliotts will be here visiting!) I'm already pretty much no caffeine and much lower sugar. So that week I'm going to cut back more on the sugar and then drink a big Coke slurpee on the way to the appt. Get those babies moving! :)
Fingers crossed for at least one boy!!!! Of course, we'll be grateful and happy for what the Lord sends us...main thing is that theyr'e healthy. But I still want at least one boy....!! ;)

Elliott family recipes
Ok, so I guess Zac is feeling a little homesick, because he requested some of "Meemaw's food." This translates into roast beef, homemade mashed potatoes and beef gravy. So I e-mailed Meemaw for instruction. I added the cake with Granny Odle's icing because I wanted it. :)
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Here's the cake. Yellow cake, nothing special...yet!
Here is Granny Odle's icing in the works. I got the recipe from my mother-in-law last night. Thanks, Sheila!
The beef sirloin roast. Awaiting its oven time...
One step closer to the oven...
I peeled way more potatoes than I ever want to peel again!
Abby woke up just in time to help me make rolls. She LOVES to cook with me. Another post about that coming soon.
Don't get me started on how hard I worked on the corn and green beans. HA!
The yummy yeast rolls that Abby helped me make!
Finished product: Mashed potatoes and gravy!
This icing rocks. So good.
I didn't get a picture of the (YUMMY) finished roast. Zac and Chris (the warehouse guy at the store) were waiting for dinner, so I didn't get a chance to snap one. But there is some left so maybe I can get one tomorrow. If I remember....
But dinner went well. Zac said it made him feel at home and that my roast was "as good as Meemaw's." WOOOO HOOOOO!!!!! Thanks for the great instruction! :) The potatoes weren't as creamy as I wanted, but they were good. And we all got great sugar highs from the cake. :)
Let's go fly a kite...
Awhile back, we bought Abby a $1 Barbie kite at Wal-Mart. And put it in her closet....last week, we finally decided to do something with it. The tree-less Utah landscape comes in handy for kite flying. Arkansas doesn't have much open space for kite; but the park where we go here has a huge field that is awesome for kites.
Some assembly required. :)
"Are you showing yet?"
That's the question I get the most when I talked to family and friends in Arkansas. So I finally had Zac take some pictures tonight. Not the best ever -- I'm exhausted after cooking all day -- but it proves that I am showing at only 16.5 wks. EEEIIIK!!! I'm not sucking my belly in, but not pushing it out at all, either -- this is just me and the babies!
The hand draped over the top of the belly is always good for some added definition!
I have a doctors appointment on Tuesday. An ultrasound isn't scheduled, but I'm hoping that he'll decide to do one. I doubt it - but still hoping! I want to know what color(s) to buy!! Make sure all of you guys are still praying for at least one boy!! That way I at least have the option of calling it quits. ;)
What we've been doing
Is it just me, or did February fly by? I realize it's a short month, but geez! I wanted to catch everybody up with some pictures and a video. And I promise to try and get better at posting pictures; I know our Arkansas family is more concerned with seeing Abby than listening to me. ;)
I took this picture mostly for Grampa - he made Abby this step stool and I wanted to make sure he knew we use it all the time! Abby has been using it to wash her hands and brush her teeth since she got it at Christmas. And I've just started showing her how to scoot it over and use it to get on the potty by herself. She's still wobbly - she doesn't trust her balance - but the stool gives her a little more independence on the potty and has allowed me to get rid of the yucky toddler toilet. YEA!!
Aunt Hopey flew back with us and stayed to visit for a couple of days. Of course, we went to the outlet mall in Park City and Hope shopped AAAAALLLLL DAY!!! KB Toys is going out of business and they had some awesome deals. We got this makeup set for Abby for $1.25!!! I was hoping for something a little more 'pretend' but she is having a lot of fun with it. (Daddy wasn't thrilled, but I don't think any Daddy enjoys seeing his girl do grown up stuff!) But it keeps her out of my makeup!
Speaking of Daddy, I got this picture of him and Abby cuddling and doing their favorite thing--TV! I'm not sure if they were watching Abby's favorite (Finding Nemo) or Daddy's favorites (Fox News/Travel Channel) but they were enjoying it anyway.
We've been working on our ABCs, thanks to her toy from Nana and Pawpaw and various kids shows. You'll also get to see that she's working on "Twinkle, twinkle little star..." We have some work to do, but it's a pretty cute video!
